- How does it taste? Does it taste like meat?
Yes! It tastes great!
During the development of the product, we tasted, adjusted, tasted, adjusted ... countless times. The taste is almost the same as minced beef. So close in fact, that Naturli’ Minced can be used in any dish where minced beef would be used, e.g. Lasagne, mince, chilli sin carne and spaghetti bolognese. Try it!
- Why is the product not organic?
Naturli’ Minced cannot be organically produced YET - but you can be sure we are working to make this happen!
Our goal is to help to regain the good balance between humankind and nature. This is why we decided to present our product as a conventional product now rather than wait. Conventional plant-based food results in significant CO2 emission savings compared to animal-based food. So there continues to be a huge benefit for the environment that we can generate now.
We want to inspire even more people to east plant-based food, and we believe our role is to make plant-based food available to everyone. One of the ways we make this happen is by making our product available in more than 600 supermarkets across Denmark, in Føtex, Bilka and Netto and that our product should not be more expensive than minced beef: DKK 25 for 400 g.

- Why did you launch this type of product?
Naturli’ makes only quality products, and we believe 100% in our products and invest a great deal of time and resources in product development and in finding the best ingredients. We do this to ensure that consumers get the tasty plant-based products that the demand. Naturli’ Minced is an example of our efforts to deliver high quality at an attractive price, and to achieve the thing we want above all – to inspire others to eat plant-based food.
- How are you involved with environmentally friendly packaging?
We constantly look for more environmentally friendly packaging but many things must be taken into consideration. The packaging must be suitable for food and it must be economical.
Naturli’ Minced packs are made from 50% recycled material and we explain on the back of the packaging how the packaging should be disposed of in a responsible way. It is a step closer to more sustainable packaging.
For every pack of Naturli’ Minced that is sold, DKK 0.2 is given to Plastic Change. The money is used to finance information campaigns and to train Plastic Change Agents, who shall help Plastic Change to inform people about plastic pollution and recycling and to organise the removal of plastic from the countryside and the seas.
- What about allergies and coeliac disease?
At Naturli’, our primary goal is to make tasty plant-based products, and where it is possible to avoid allergens. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to avoid allergens. Soya and wheat gluten are ideal for creating the meat-like texture, such as in our new product Naturli’ Minced. Soya bean is rich in protein and has a composition that makes it an ideal alternative to milk. In addition, we supply plant-based drinks based on other ingredients, so that you as a consumer, have a choice.
- Does your soya contain GMO?
Naturli’ is stringent when it comes to high-quality ingredients. Our Soya is non-GMO. We ensure this by purchasing ingredients from farmers who do not grow GMO crops.
- Why do you call it meat when it is not meat?
We call the new product Minced because it is minced and in order to make it clear to the consumer that the product can be used in any dish where they would normally use minced beef. The product can also be used in a great many other dishes, because it can be seasoned to taste and preference. Our focus is on the use of the product. We do not understand why animals should have a monopoly on the term ‘meat’. What about the flesh of oranges or fruit? Shall fruit also have new names?
- How do you prepare Naturli’ Minced?
Even though Naturli’ Minced is similar to minced beef, it must be prepared slightly differently. Directions are given on the back of the pack, but here are some instructions you can use when making your favourite 100% plant-based dishes.
Knead and shape the plant-based mince into patties.
Lay the patties onto a cold pan with a little vegetable fat and turn up the heat to medium heat.
Fry the patties on a medium heat until suitably browned. Turn over now and then using a pallet knife.
Tip: Add a little finely chopped onion and (mushroom) soya sauce to the mince and add your favourite seasoning. It will give the patties their own wonderful taste.
MINCE FOR BOLOGNESE, PIZZA, LASAGNE, etc.
Put Naturli’ Minced into a pot and start cooking on medium heat.
Fry on medium heat while stirring for about 10–12 minutes. The mince is now ready for use.
Enjoy your meal!
- Can you freeze Naturli’ Minced?
You can freeze Naturli’ Minced. We recommend that you let it completely thaw it out before using it. The same applies to prepared dishes.
- How long can it keep after the pack has been opened?
It can keep for 24 hours after opening.
